When your shower is used by young and old, it’s necessary to install protection against unexpected hot water scalding.

Methven's Thermostatic Mixers is a temperature and flow regulator that is operated by a simple-to-use single lever. It delivers a stable showering temperature, even with erratic hot and cold pressure.

The integrated Thermostatic Cartridge mixes the maximum water temperature to 45°. Precision ceramic discs add incrementally more cold water to the flow as you choose, resulting in a very accurate and stable output temperature. If the cold water cuts off for any reason, the thermal element quickly expands to shut off the hot water, preventing exposure to scalding water straight from the water heater.

• 1. Water passes through the ceramic disc to deliver the desired flow.
• 2. Hot and cold water passes through the thermostatic cartridge where water temperature is stabilised. Water is continually mixed to the pre-set safe maximum temperature.
• 3. Additional cold water is introduced to achieve the desired showering temperature.
• 4. Maximum temperature delivered from the Methven's Thermostatic Mixers cartridge will not exceed 45.
• 5. Thermal shut off element blocks hot water flow if cold water pressure is lost.
